Chopta valley is a small region of meadows and evergreen Himalayan temperate forest, a part of Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary in Uttarakhand. Chopta Hill Station rapidly being popularized as a tourist destination among all aged and type of tourists across the country and around the world.

Chopta is the commencement point of the trek to Tungnath -3rd Kedar. Another 1.5 km trek frm Tungnath leads to Chandrashila(4000mts above the sea level) Which offers a panoramic view of snow clad Himalayan peaks including Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Pancha chuli and many more (more than 20 peaks).

Day 1 of Chopta trek :-
RISHIKESH /HARIDWAR – CHOPTA (THE MAGPIE JUNGLE CAMP)
The “THE MAGPIE JUNGLE CAMP” is approximately 210 Kms from Haridwar and -190 kms from Rishikesh with a travel duration of 7 to 8 hours. The road to Chopta runs along Ganga & Alaknanda Rivers before turning into the Mandakini valley in Rudraprayg .On arrival at “THE MAGPIE JUNGLE CAMP” guest are served with welcome refreshment. During Evening hours one can take a walk at Camp’s Grassland for acclimatization or near By Places for a short walk.“THE MAGPIE JUNGLE CAMP”offers all weather proof Swiss camps for Night stay at the destination.
Day 2 of Chopta trek :-
BASECAMP (THE MAGPIE JUNGLE CAMP ) -CHOPTA – TUNGNATH (3680 MTS/12070 FT) – CHANDRASILA (4090 MTS/13415 FT) – CHOPTA -BASECAMP
On day 2nd post breakfast one has to drive down to Chopta base to start trek for Tungnath and Chandrashila this complete trek is approximately 5kms to Chopta base.
Tungnath temple is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is at a trek distance of 3.5 kms which can be covered in 3hrs.The complete trek is covered with lush green meadows and one can see the entire range of snow clad Himalayas.
After reaching Tungnath one can enjoy the view of snow clad Himalayan ranges and after a little refreshment can move further for Chandrashila which is at an altitude of 4100 mts above see level and one can enjoy the 180 degree panoramic view of Himalayas.
Day 3 Chopta Trek:-
CHOPTA – RISHIKESH/HARIDWAR
After an early breakfast at “THE MAGPIE JUNGLE CAMP CHOPTA ” drive down to Rishikesh/Haridwar.
