TYPES OF VISA FOR AUSTRALIA
1. Short-term visas. These are temporary visas, having the following categories:

THE PROCESS TO APPLY VISA:
The process to get an Australian visa depends on the person’s nationality.
• For an eVisitor or ETA citizen: By applying for eVisitor or ETA by means of the online service of the Australian Department of Home Affairs.
• For non-ETA and non-eVisitor citizens: By applying either online through creating an account at the official above mentioned website of the Home Affairs Department or offline directly in the Australian Embassy.
The step-by-step process to apply for a visa online is given below:
1. Create an account on the official website.
2. Fill out the visa form by selecting the appropriate visa type.
3. With the form, link the needed documents.
4. Pay the fee for application (varying with nationality)
5. Submit the application to the Australian Department of Home Affairs.
Fee for the Travel:
• Visit visa (tourist stream): AUD 145
• eVisitor and ETA: Free of charge, except for a AUD 20 service fee
• Student visa: AUD 620
• Training visa: AUD 310
• Work visa: AUD 310 to AUD 4,045 depending on the visa
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:
For applying for an Australian visa, a person will have to present the given documents:
• Passport. A valid passport, having at least 6 months of further validity as well as the issuing date within the last ten years.
• Australian Visa Application Form. The form filled either online on the website or offline in paper form, different for all types of visas.
