The immigration department has announced that Indians need to complete an online pre-arrival registration successfully before Hong Kong visa-free. Currently, you can visit Hong Kong visa-free for a duration of 14 days.
You must complete an online pre-arrival registration process and get it done before leaving for a 14 day visit to Hong Kong by Hong Kong Visa-free entry. You may ignore it if you belong to a specific category of people who are not required to complete pre-registration arrival.
Follow the below process:
- Apply for pre-arrival registration by accessing a platform for Indians at the GovHK website (gov.hk/en/apps/immdindianparreg.htm).
- The pre-arrival registration process is free.
- Fill out all required information.
- After fulfilling all information, the computer will process for registration and pop up the result instantly.
- If your registration result shows successful, take a print out of notification slip for pre-arrival registration generated by the system on a plain paper of A4 size.
- The printout will help you resolve the purposes of boarding a conveyance bound for Hong Kong as well as immigration clearance upon arrival.
- This pre-arrival registration will be valid for 6 months or your expiry date of passport linked to it.
- During the validity period of pre-arrival registration, you can visit Hong Kong multiple time for up to 14 days by showing the print of notification slip and the passport linked to it.
- You can directly apply for visa to the immigration department if your pre-arrival registration is not successful

- Visa application form and two passport size recent photographs.
- Business documents as support of financial documents.
- A covering letter that describes the purpose of travel and all details related to you.
- Travel itinerary along with proper arrangements details for stay in Hong Kong
- Your personal details and all information related to people going with you.
