Day 1
New Delhi to Kathmandu
Today is the first day of my dream vacation for Everest Base camp . So many people just think about to go there but yes today I m going there in actual so i m so much excited . My flight was Nepal Airlines Timings are 10.30 AM from Terminal 3 New Delhi Indira Gandhi Airport .
Nepal Airlines is so bad in timings they shifted the timings to 12.30 first then 2 then finally by god grace flight take of around 3 PM . Obviously I will not recommend Nepal Airlines to anyone . Till now I am so so hungry , So first I thought I will eat at Kathmandu then I have to eat protein bars which i purchased from Airport only . Its around 2 hours journey from New delhi to Kathmandu Airport by Flight .
So Around 5 Pm Indian Time I landed there (Nepal is 15 mins ahead of India ) after checkout I went out from the Airport .
Important Things to DO at Nepal Airport
- Take currency from ATM Card or from Exchanges . My recommendation is from ATM card as its more cheap .
- Purchase Sim card with good Internet Plan . My recommendation is Ncell Company as you will get the network almost everywhere .
- Take a taxi from Airport to your hotel , of course you can negotiate they will try to give you costly price but approx to Thamel Govt rate is 700 Nepalise Rupees . YOU can Negotiate more .
My Hotel was at Thamel . I had Dinner at some local Place It was a delicious Lemon Chicken with Rice . My Suggestion is that you should sleep early as you need to start your day early next day . And take a good quality sleeping bag on rent from your hotel It will charge around 100 INR per night at max .
Day 2 (Kathmandu to Lukla/Phakding )
I have to start my day early today so Left hotel at 5 am. I have to take a early Morning flight from Airport to Lukla . It is a short 25 minutes flight . When you are in flight they will give you Candies and some cotton for your ears . You should take both as during flight you will definitely need both of them . The most amazing thing is that Lukla Airport is one of the world’s most dangerous Airport , You will feel thrilled when you touch the ground at lukla Airport as there is very less place for the pilot to land , But pilots are so good they do this task in very good way . After I reach lukla I had breakfast there only . After the breakfast at good local place we start trekking to Pakading .
After breakfast a trek fir around 6 km to pakading and stay there for tonight .
Day 3 (Phakding to Namche Bazaar)
Today we Leave hotel after having a good breakfast of porridge and Tea . Start trek at around 8 am in morning .
Morning is chilly but after an hour sun gets up and you can enjoy sunny day after some time . Reach Namchee Bazaar at 4 PM . Here you can
do your last shopping if still you forget anything . you can have The north face showroom here , Also a good brand is Sonam you can purchase Sonam Brand Clothes as well .

These are very beautiful flowers . Today we cross few Bridges which are so beautiful and exciting and dangerous as well. few of them are more than 300 Feet in height . When I saw below from bridges I feel the thrill for which I came here so far . SO many Beautiful Buddha Scriptures we saw in the way . We reached the Hotel at around 4 PM . Today was around 6 hour trek . After having a good dinner we slept .
Day 6 and 7 (Thyangboche to Dingboche )
Today we start again at around 8 am . From Thyangboche to Dingboche its around 8 Km trek which is a bit tough . It takes around 5 to 6 hours to trek this . Weather was so good luckily . Very beautiful mountains view were there . We can see and talk fellow travellers and share our experiences with them . People from all over the world came here for the ultimate adventure . We reached the hotel around 5 pm and stay there . Next day we do acclimatisation . Just have rest at hotel and outside .
Day 8 (Dingboche to Lobuche )
Today we Hike through alpine meadows and summer yak pastures towards the end of the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier to Lobuche, which has spectacular views of Nuptse. The ascent towards Everest Base Camp continues through Alpine meadows and summer yak pastures towards the end of the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. At the moraine, there are stone monuments to six sherpas who died in avalanche, as well as monuments to other climbers. From here, it is a steep, tough climb towards the village of Gorak Shep. Continue on towards Lobuche, where the view is straight towards Nuptse and the sunset is truly magnificent.
Day 9 (Lobuche to Gorak Shep)
Today includes a challenging climb past the Khumbu Glacier, arriving in Nuptse. Cross the Changri Glacier to Gorakshep, and then enjoy the highlight of reaching Everest Base Camp.
The higher altitude makes this day’s trekking quite challenging. The Changri Glacier looms ahead as the trek heads for Gorakshep, a small, usually frozen, lake, by lunchtime. Relax and get adjusted to the altitude before the attempt to reach Everest Base Camp.
After lunch, trek to Everest Base Camp. The route follows the Khumbu Glacier with its intriguing 15m (49ft)-high seraces of ice, a feature unique to Himalayan glaciers. Return to Gorakshep for an overnight stay.
Day 10 (Gorak Shep to Pheriche )
Enjoy an early morning trek to Kala Pattar for stunning sunrise views of Everest and surrounding vistas. Later, descend to Pheriche.
Try to see a different view of Everest today, with a trek up to Kala Pattar. Known to have the best views of Everest, this is a challenging trek, but worth it on a clear day.
Begin the descent from Kala Pattar, heading for Pheriche. This is not the most challenging of hikes, but the altitude can make the many uphill sections below Gorakshep seem tough. Stop to look around; the views are quite spectacular.
Day 11 (Pheriche to Kyangjuma)
Descend through Pangboche, with its great gompa, to Kyangjuma.Descend the Imja Khola past Pangboche, the highest permanent settlement in the region. Its gompa, the oldest in Khumbu, is built over the hermitage of Khumbu’s saint, Lama Sanga Dorje. The juniper trees on either side are said to have sprung from hair cut from his head, and a rock-like projection is said to be a piece of mountainside he pulled out for protection one day.
Day 12 (Kyangjuma to Monjo )
- Continue our descent, staying in the small village of Monjo for the evening.Continue the downhill descent from Kyangjuma, heading for Monjo. Follow the ascents and descents on the path and enjoy the view
Day 13 (Monjo to Lukla )
The final day of our trek takes us back to Lukla, where we have a chance to relax after the rigorous adventure we just undertook. The final day of our trek returns back to Lukla. Relax after the rigorous adventure and reflect on the challenges just undertaken.
