7 ways to avoid Homesickness on a tour

When people live away from their homes they feel homesickness, It’s pretty much normal thing for most of the individuals especially when people do solo tours. Coz there are many days to do things you miss in your life. Also, your friends Family etc. Whenever I started My Solo Tours I also Suffered this Homesickness a bit but I find out the solution. Below are few of my suggestions which I already tested and all are very good.

1. Listening to Your favorite songs

Every human love music. Music is a thing in the world which helps us to recover from a very bad mood in very less time. Whenever I feel alone or I feel homesick I listen My Favourite songs on my Mobile. I love old Classical Bollywood Songs (Lataji, Mukesh, Mohd Rafi, Kishor Kumar ). I have a long playlist of my favorite songs. Whenever I get time I listen songs. You can also do the same to avoid homesickness.


2. Read The stuff you love

Friends As we all know that Reading is a very good and useful hobby. You can read the good books you love, whenever you get time in your tour. You can select a book on your interest based topic like Travel, Food, About the place you are going, Any good leader Biography, Motivational books etc.Also, you can read on your Mobile or Laptop. When we read we learn things. The more we read the more we learn. if you make reading your habit you will not feel alone anytime.


3. Write anything

Many people write Blogs and share their Experiences about the places they visit so that they can help the other persons who are planning to visit the same place. You can also start writing any blog, Book, Text to share your experiences, your thoughts to the people. By writing you can spend some time as well and trust me you will love it when you get to know that you helped anyone by just sharing your experience and also It will help you to avoid Homesickness.


4. Meditation

It is a new thing if you don’t know how to do this let me tell you that Meditation is a very simple technique. You just need to close your eyes and concentrate on anything. And after some time, you will feel very relax. you will be free from all negative thoughts and all boredom all homesickness. You will fell energized. You can watch few online videos on youtube to learn this if you want.


5. Be online for Some time

Whenever you feel so much homesick, just go online for some time and you can see that who is doing what in this world. You can see what your friends and family members are doing and hence you will feel better. But do this for only very less time.


6. Find a local Friend

If you feel bore at some place or homesick just find a local friend there, If you can be able to find a local friend you can share your thoughts with him/her and also you will get to know many things from your friend about that place, About food, Transport, Local things . This will help you a lot.


7. Take a peaceful walk 

I go for a long walk when I feel lonely, You can also try this it will help you a lot. All you need to do is just you need to find a peaceful place for a peaceful walk. Just spent few hours there if possible for you and then you will see that you are again full of energy.
